FLV is outdated, and was basically used to play video in the previous SWF format (X2). No modern browsers support FLV video (html5) unfortunately, unless you use a Flash-video player ... There are javascript video players that support flash-fallback for playing FLV files, but they would not work on devices that don't have Flash (including all iphone and ipad).

Unfortunately, this is a dead end, because we don't want to spend time with a fallback video player for an old incompatible format. You will need to look into converting your FLV to MP4 at some point instead.
