See "pohotlocation" on map without geotag?
As I understand there is a map-feature when a photo with a geotag is uploaded. But is it possible to get the option to manually add this information? To be able to set the location where the photo was taken, even for my photos that does not have geotag embeded?

You would need to add the geotag to the image. That ca be achieved with many applications, like iPhoto or several mobile apps. Basically you would need to "tag" the image, and the data will get stored in the image, where Imagevue will retrieve it.

Yes, these applications I am familiar with. But wouldnt it be a cool feature to be able to add location-data in Imagevue? Doesnt have to write it to the image, just need to have it set as a property for the uploaded file, stored in Imagevue?

Sure would be cool, but we try to avoid to much overhead in the Imagevue system itself. We may consider it later ...

Whether it is a "Enter Longitude: ....... Enter Latitude: ...... " (inc various formats, Degrees, minutes and seconds, Degrees and decimal minutes, Decimal degrees), or a very simple API used to pop-up a small Google map (very simple and clean - no bulk added to ImageVue) it would offer customers an opportunity to then manually tag (or Tag multiple) images with a location! - e.g. Album Location, Multiple Image Location, or just (Single) Image Location. This is, and would be, an incredibly useful and simple way to store geographic locations (non-EXIF)!
