I never got the things out of IV that I hoped for, and honestly, I'm never gonna use it. Is it "legal" to sell the license to another person? Or even better "return" it for a refund?

Yes, you can sell or give the license to another person to use on any other domain. We don't have the capacity to provide refunds after 6 months though ...
