Linking to a Photo on a Textpage

25 Aug 2011, 16:54

I'm having a small issue that I just noticed in the recent textpage editor. I'm running version X2.7.5.2 on a windows system using Firefox. I did not have this problem in X2.7.5.1.

When I'm in the textpage editor, normally I can highlight (click) a photo and then hit the link button and the link dialog box appears. I fill in the link address and give it a title. I click insert and the box goes away and the html code is updated so the photo is now a clickable link.

Now - in version X2.7.5.2, I type in the link address and the title and when I hit insert, the box flashes and reappears with the link address and the title wiped clean and when I check the html code, the link address is not added.

My go around currently is to manually edit the html code and add the link myself, but this isn't as easy as using the link button.
Maybe someone else can confirm this to be a problem.

Thanks

It works fine on Win 7 | Firefox 6 here ...

What windows version and Firefox version are you on? Perhaps try upgrading to latest Firefox, and also re-starting application or rebooting entirely?

Karl, I'm not talking about adding a link to text (which is what you are show in the picture you posted). That works fine for me. I'm talking about adding a link to a photo.

Highlight photo, choose link button, add link info, insert. Doesn't work on my in-house X2.7.5.2 but fine on public X2.7.5.1
Did you try adding a link to a photo - not text?
