Sharing option - additional ideas!

18 Feb 2011, 04:35

The new sharing function is awesome! I really like it! Big thanks!

It would be even better if..

- it would would be possible to have the facebook-like button next to the share button and to have it textpage/gallery/picture related.
- to select a picture from the gallery/textpage which can be added to the facebook and linkedin message. Imagevue should be visual instead of textual i.m.o.

sweetah!

1. Please check this article and scroll down to the section "Adding the Facebook LIKE button":
https://www.photo.gallery/blog/social-media-sharing/
I think it explains why we don't have the possibility to add the "like" wherever we want, simply because we cant load this into the gallery or control it. It is an interactive iframe loaded directly from Facebook! Besides, I don't agree that is functional in any way for a facebook user to click "like" on dozens of images. It doesn't really have any functional effect in Facebook ...

2. Not quite sure what you mean visual instead of textual. We made it quite advanced so that the details of what you share are exact -
Image
See thumbnail + title + description. If you wish to change the title or description, just click to change it!

If you mean that you want to select an image from the specific gallery/folder shared, instead of the preview image this is not possible because Facebook is not that advanced. It is not like we can control what Facebook wants to display there, and neither can facebook look into the flash page and figure out what images to choose from. It shares the basic, but specific information for the page you selected.
