Compatibility - IE Explorer Problem

27 Nov 2006, 11:12

Sorry if this is a duplicate topic ... I tried searching but came up empty on finding similar issues.

I seem to be experiencing a problem when attempting to use imagevue on certain computers (or rather browsers).

For example, on my laptop if I navigate to any imagevue gallery URL (from the imagevue site or otherwise), everything works great. My laptop has XP sp2 and IE 7 installed.

Through my desktop PC its a different story. If I navigate to any imagevue URL I am presented with the following blank page and message:

www.photo.gallery imagevue gallery module

My Desktop PC is an XP SP1 wtih IE SP1 installed. Funny thing is that if I use Firefox from my Desktop PC everything works fine!

I'm currently testing imagevue to see if this gallery will suit my needs. This problem is scary because I definitely don't want to have the end user experience issues like this should I decide to use imagevue for my site.

Any ideas how to fix this or why it is happening?

Thanks.

Never Mind!

27 Nov 2006, 11:26

I figured out what the problem was. This message seems to come up if the flash player is not installed on the client computer.

Problem was that I did have the flash player installed on my Desktop computer. Seems that the installation is being recognized in some instances and not in others. Must have been corrupted some how. Enter my confusion and resulting previous post. I knew I had flash but didn't know why I was receiving error.

Anyways, I went ahead and fully uninstalled the flash player and re-installed it again. Now everything is working fine. Problem solved.

Thanks
