My new website - www.bc77.co.uk

18 Feb 2010, 11:58

Hi everyone... thought I would post up the address of my imagevue gallery I have just finished creating, and show off some of my photography at the same time. http://www.bc77.co.uk

Thank you for creating such a truly amazing flash gallery. Hope you enjoy, and I welcome any thoughts about my site.

Thanks

Nice, like the background. I also like the titles you have given to some of your images, eg: Swinger, derriere delight etc :D

This is one of the best custom theme/adaptions I have seen!

Lovely background and logo integration, work nicely with controls at top, and looks good with the smaller thumbnails in the thumbnailscroller ...

Also really cool photos - I especially like the underwater ones! What camera are you using and how are you waterproofing it? Any special settings in regards to light? I did some underwater photos once just for fun also, I got this 5m proof "bag" for my EOS500.

Oh, I did miss the fullscreen button a bit, as I wanted to see your nice gallery unspoiled by browser interface elements on my 13" macbook. Also, missed the largecontrols that display on left/right of image, but maybe thats just because im used to using them, and maybe you wanna minimize the interface as much as possible ...

mjau-mjau: Thank you! The underwater photos were taken with an old Sony point and click, in the same glorified 'plastic bag' that I suspect you are talking about. The results were excellent, better than with an actual Fuji underwater camera I have too. As for the site, I agree with the large left and right controls and will add them back in I think. I have the full screen option on the start page, where else do you recommend I have it?

carter2: Thanks.. always fun coming up with titles :D

SoftTones: Thank you too, should be ok on the load time now, I was just playing around with the server at that time I think, but am really unsure of the black band. The background is supposed to be a dark blue that matches the background image aligned to the top right. I'll have to look into this, as its been fine on various machines/browsers I have tested it with, but thanks for the feedback.. much appreciated.

The black band has gone away, back to full screen now (may have been my monitor ??) loads slightly faster now too...

bcuk: I guess a frontpage fullscreen button may be sufficient for most visitors who dont already know the interface. Personally, I was looking for it in right-click context menu ... At least you wont clutter the interface by having a few extra context-menu items available ...
