I have used the horizontal menu before, but this time, all of the folders show at start-up, and the gallery button/main menu button, is of course, hidden.
I have looked everywhere, emptied caches, checked all over the ADMIN, etc etc but cannot find out what is wrong.
Yes, I have checked the settings/menu/main_menu/startshow. Already tried that a few times.
Anyone have this problem?

Not quite sure what you mean, or what the question is. With the horizontal menu, it just displays like that - horizontally. It does not hide, and there are several restrictions:
