is it possible to add a footer? If yes is this independent from the background image? Example of my page under:

If you add a footer in html, yes it will be independent from the background image, because the background image is part of the embedded SWF(which is separate from your footer). If you are going to embed a html footer, you should integrate it with the table, or else it may not dispplay or display below the visibe area of stage.
Html footer is probably best, but you could also integrate a footer into a SWF background if you are familiar with flash. That would require aligning the background to the bottom though, either BR,B or BL.
