Hi,
the link is not public yet

"MainNav" is just the "Normal" Navigation, (level1)
When i click on a Navbutton1 with Subfolders, they appear
When i click now on any other Navbutton, the subfolders from Navbutton1 dont dissapear.

are you reffering to the "close_same_level" under the config?

like on my gallery http://www.sherwoodsfabrics.co.uk/fabrics
things are not as they appear, nor are they otherwise

I don't think its a problem, its how imagevue works. You can try to set the following in admin -> settings.menu.mainmenu.close_same_level ... set it to true.

Keep in mind, this will close same levels in the menu as you open new ones, to limit the height of the menu. However, it will not close a menu when you click a pageitem like a gallery or a textpage. It only closes an item, if another folder opens that has subfolders.

please confirm your trying to do the same thing as on my gallery.......

say you have two folders named 'folder 1' and 'folder 2' your trying to make it so that if the subfolders of 'folder 1' are showing and the user selected 'folder 2' then 'folder 1' colapses and 'folder 2's sub menus are displayed

aasuming thats what your after if your sure youve turned close same level on then try manual clearing the cashe if that fails you could always try turning it off and on again.....

failing that maybe there is something wrong with your instalation??

The contact button is not a folder, and does not contain subfolders. Therefore it will not close any level of subfolders. The close mechanism only works to keep a single sublevel open simultaneously.

roger that, this is the problem and was my question

So it is not possible to close any other subfolders when clicking on a folder that has no subfolders?

if (subfolder 1 pressed)
then close any other subfolders under folder 2 - folder x

no sorry ... because the closing of a menulevel, is related to the opening of another, and not to actually just "clicking" an item.

Perhaps for the horizontal menu module we have planned. I assume you are using the horizontal menu, because I cant see this has any value for the vertical menu ...

actually using the vertical menu. i think it does have value because i believe it is more userfriendly if some clicks on a menulink02 (and submenu02 opens), then the before opened submenu01 from link menu01 should close
