Just finished site!

04 Apr 2009, 19:53

Our site is complete. Love the new X2 feel to it.
http://www.ajsstudio.com

I wanted to keep most info pointed towards our blog and keep the gallery as a gallery. This way I don't have to update two sites all the time. So most links point to our blog shy of the "about" and "contact".

Enjoy!

Some really awesome photos you have there! Nice custom theme also ...

Please post your gallery at our links site www.photogallerylinks.com !

I am not 100% convinced about the blank separator items in your main menu. It seemed a little confusing. Especially with the "prices - wedding info" in the middle, which contains a group of external links.

Of course I don't see the structure the same way as you, but I would perhaps try to minimize the amount of external links in the menu. After all, once you get to the blog, you have all the other important links in the menu there perhaps? Also, most of your visitors will most likely come from the blog, or one of your main pages anyway, no? Perhaps try to isolate it slightly as a gallery ...

My take on the menu, would be something like this:
Code
About AJ's
+ Wedding Galleries
+ Portraiture Galleries
[1-2 important external links]
Contact Us
You could also put "prices - wedding info" inside the "Wedding galleries" folder and "portraiture info" inside the "portraiture Galleries" folder. I think it would be more intuitive with a cleaner, more compact menu. Of course, I may be wrong - I checked your external links, and they seem to point to several services, and not a single website, so it might be a little more complex.

Gallery looks great though!

Thanks Karl,

I was playing with menu system trying to make it easier but I think it was more confusing. Brides are dumb  You have to walk them by the hand a lot

I took your suggestion and went that route.
