How to get a description

12 Nov 2006, 13:48

I would like a discription for my pictures. The only thing I see now is the name of the pic hanging on my mouse when I go over the pic.
How/where do I do it??

If you want to have a descriptions in a tooltip, you can change the slideshowimagevueconfig.ini, eg.: imagepopinfo = index, name, action, description (you can delete each item, if you want).

You can add/change your descriptions in the admin module.

Am I missing something really obvious?

Where in the admin? - I go into the admin and I don't get any images to put descriptions in - I just get the loading text pulsing in the right hand column.

Am I missing something really obvious?

If you log into the admin, click on a folder, then click on an image, there is a large text box to the right of the image for you to type your descriptions in. Just hit the save data button when you're done.

I have displaydescription = true for my carbon template slideshow config but my descriptions still wont show up so maybe I'm doing something wrong too.

EDIT: Haha - I was editing the wrong slideshow file. I'm using the carbon template so the file I should have been editing is slideshowimagevueconfig.ini under upload/template/yourtemplatename/
