New Design up - Love the look of V2!

16 Dec 2008, 23:59

The core structure is there.
I would love to adjust the font and maybe the colour just a little more, but I'm sure it'll get there eventually!

Keep up the good work guys!

First of all, congratulations on your photography - Your shoots speak for themselves!

I do have a few comments:

# I notice there seems to be a bug in the mainmenu when opening/closing a submenu multiple times. I believe this is something to do with the font-size differences and/or the margin between menu items. I will have to look into that, but in the meantime, I suggest you try to track back on a few of the changes you did to the main menu.

# Since you started off with the "default" theme, som of the items seem to be a little "hard" on the light background. The "Audio" player, and the main menu seem a little too dark ... Same goes for the outer frame around the image. I would like to see a lighter color for a softer effect.

# Thumbnails could perhaps have a frame color with more contrast? even a wider frame and/or use shadow for the frame on background?

# The thumnailscroller is 'hidden' by two methods. Both visibly, and removes itself to below screen area. Perhaps too much?

# I prefer the global shadow effect to not have a direction(distance), but that just my preference.

# Your menu items have 1. name, 2.name etc. - I believe that is for sorting the folder, but you know you can rename them in the title without loosing the sorting(which is done with the physical folders)?

# It would perhaps be nice to see a slightly different CSS text style for the gallery folders and textpages to make an intuitive distinction.

Great work!

I don't understand this what I need to do by "tracking back"

I like the colours except for the audio player. If it works in one area, it then looks different somewhere else in the theme.

Added white border and some extra space. Shadow didn't look so good the images.

I like how you can see the thumbnail scroller, it's not totally hidden.
If I didn't answer the question properly, I then have no idea what you were trying to say, sorry!

I like the distance, separation from the background more

I found out how you arrange the folders afterword, so I know how that works. Speaking of the numbers thoughs, I sort of like it. The folders then sepearte from the About Me and Contact

I agree, then I might remove the 1.2.3. labeling.

Thanks for the help. Can't wait for the next update :D
