Yes, Imagevue V2 stable/non-beta will be released by the end of this week.

awesome news, i know this isn't quite the forum for this and i will also post this in its appropriate place but, I am having a write error for the gallery description/thumb on the main menu. in the backend, i click save (after confirming 777 permissions on that galleries folder and xml config file), it indicates saved in green in the upper left of the admin, but the change does not reflect in the front-end, or even in the config file if viewed through an ftp client. Are there any other suggestions besides checking the file permissions that can help me through this type of error?

try "clear cache" option in Admin and your browser.

If you don't find out the problem, you will need to provide a link to your gallery with admin login.

I rather have them take another week and have it the way they want it than rushing "to meet the deadline" ;)

Well, it's all about new features coming up and we wanted to cram the Christmas stocking before this release. We already have a launch-able version, but now we also included a new theme and a new slideshow filemod option.

I still think it might be released late tonight ...

No worries mjau, you have already proven your value
by the quality of your work, so if you believe there is
still a need for few more days of polishing, we will be
patiently waiting for it. :)

When you update from beta to non-beta will you lose all the settings?

No, you will be able to keep any changes you made to config and/or theme if your previous installation was from 20081015 or later. There will however be a change that requires your attention if you want to keep your theme changes:

Currently, changes to theme files are saved in the imagevue/config/ folder. After new release, you will need to copy your custom theme files from the config/ folder, to config/themeName/ folder, and rename the file to "themeConfig.xml".

For example, you might have a file:
Code
config/themeNameUser.xml
You need to create a folder "themeName", move the XML there, and rename it to "themeConfig.xml":
Code
config/themeName/themeConfig.xml
Out apologies for this inconvenience, but we had to make this move sooner or later to give room for future improvements.

ok, we uploaded latest release to demo at least:
https://www.photo.gallery/soda/

You may not see that many changes, but amongst other things, there is a new "close" button on image rollover, new download funtionality, a new theme https://www.photo.gallery/soda/?theme=firestarter and a new simple_slideshow module https://www.photo.gallery/soda/#/content ... slideshow/ to use as startpage.

Sorry for the delay ...
