Because there is duplicated control settings in the config file now, it makes the "theme" control settings that are duplicated redundant as dominance is given to "config" commands

=> Is there any need to have sthese duplications in "theme" as they are now redundant ...

If you made a CLEAN update to the latest release, there would be no duplicates. There certainly is no need ... what exact settings are you speaking of?

In config/maincontrols :

enabled
items
autohide
align
margin
locktothumbnails

In themes/maincontrols

enabled
maincontrols (this is same as "items" in config)
autohide
align
margin

You must have some old config files mixed in somehow ... This is how it looks in original release files:

config
config.controls.maincontrols.enabled
config.controls.maincontrols.items
config.controls.maincontrols.autohide
config.controls.maincontrols.align
config.controls.maincontrols.margin
config.controls.maincontrols.locktothumbnails

In themes there is only items under theme.controls.maincontrols.button...

There are no identical items in config and theme unless they have been added manually, or somehow left over from some old theme ... Did you delete your "imagevue" folder before updating to the latest release?
