New V2 Beta

06 Oct 2008, 17:48

I have downloaded the new version of the V2 beta from 3rd Sept. I see the changes that along with the addition of HTML pages and links when choosing the, "use as" function have been added. The thing is i have an older versrion of the V2 beta but i dont no how to update it properly without messing up all the settings i have edited. Any tips?

Don't overwrite content/ folder, everything else can be replaced.
Anyway you will have to do it later again, so dont worry too much.

Yeah ok that makes sense not updating the content folder. So you just up date the imagevue folder. But what about the likes of the css file etc? Do you just keep a copy of the original css file, then when the new versions uploaded replace the new css file with the original css?

We just redid config system and to put it short, you can think of it as 'everything has changed'.

Atleast I wouldnt recommend anybody to bother with finding differences between next release and anything they have now.

It's not a bad idea making copies of your CSS, or your entire theme folder for that sake.

However, in the latest release, there was some huge improvements on keeping customizations after updating. Read more:
