SWF Frame Rate Issue

30 Sep 2008, 22:35

Has anyone else noticed that the frame rates are faster in the gallery than they should be?

I have made a test page for viewing the same SWF. One is a regular HTML page... the other is in the gallery.

HTML - http://www.curriadvanceddesign.com/test

Gallery - http://www.curriadvanceddesign.com/gall ... k%202.swf/

Please let me know if there is a fix.

Flash can not run independent framerates on its content. The framerate of all SWF content will be inherited from the framerate of the gallery, which is relatively high.

Why don't you encode your bitmap animations as FLV/video instead? That gives better quality/compression, and allows you to choose independent framerate for your FLV.

*Edit

I understand... the gallery frame rate will override the individual SWF frame rate.

Does anyone know of a good SWF to FLV converter for Mac?
