Not possible to have ore contentfolders?

22 Sep 2008, 05:54

Is it possible to have more contentfolders?

I made a second contentfolder: content2 and uploaded some maps and pictures in it.

I can access the original folder by: http://www.mysite.com/?contentfolder=content/ , but when I go to http://www.mysite.com/?contentfolder=content2/ it does not work. The only way to see the pictures is by changing the contentfolder in admin, in themes, settings. But then the original pictures don't work anymore.

The guidelines here are pretty bleak, but I think you should put ALL your content into the main "content" folder. If you need to, then simply create substructures within the main content folder. For example:

content/content1/
content/content2/

In the theme configs, you can set contentfolder="content/content1/" and that will be the root of your gallery for that theme ... or you can simply add the parameter to your link mysite.com/?contentfolder=content/content1/

When I want to make a "private" folder, which I want to hide for the whole world, I can make a folder like content/private/. In the standard theme config I can select the "public" contentfolder, so the private picture are hidden in the flash gallery. But when I go to the html version of the gallery I can also see the "private" folder. Is there a way to change the contentfolder of the html gallery?

Maybe set them both to hidden then? Unfortunately as of now, they wont be shown in tree anyways, but we added it in todo.

So in some future release when you say set folder to hidden and enter it you will see everything inside of it, but other hiddens won't be shown.

Well okay, this is added, now you can set all folders to hidden and you will see only current folder when you in it in html gallery.

As usual see you after next release.
