I'll Share

20 Sep 2008, 10:44

Ok, I guess I'm ready to share. This is not for the purpose of critiquing my photography skills, (it needs work, I know, after 5 years of digital photography I'm just now beginning to know ‘a little' about taking pictures) but for the purpose of showing off ImageVue V2 (an excellent product). Its taken 2-3 week to get 75,000+ images moved into 5 different “installationsâ€Â

Nice start,

It looks like you have a great potential framework for a working site
there. Though I have to say, for me, I'd severely reduce the amount of
photographs you share... in one folder there was over 900 shots! I can't
imagine if anyone would be able to look at even half that.

But that's just me, great start though!

Christopher,

Thanks for your remarks. Sometimes I feel like I'm hosting a clearing house of pictures. It's very hard (and time consuming) to pick out just the Best of the Best (in my case best of the OK). But you're right, I need to cut it down to maybe 200 or less. I'm right there with you!

Thanks again,
Dana

whoa ... that's a lot of pictures, and you took all of them?

Gallery works fine although it definitely comes through more as a catalog than a portfolio in any sense because of the amount of images, and because of the deep menu categories. Must have been a lot of work!

Of course, there is a question about how functional Imagevue is for storing that amount of images, although I can for sure see it works.
