image error and file source

22 Aug 2008, 07:28

Hi there

I am new at using imagevue.
I have uploaded it at http://www.pixsure.nl/fotogallery
I have two questions:
1. is it right that you only upload the file upload? What is the use of the file source than?

2. I can't upload images. I have set the file at 777 and for example this file is not too big: (but other files are not shown as well)

../content/groupfolder2/Reportage & Stock/
0 files at total filesize of 9 kb uploaded in 563 milliseconds.
1 file upload errors.

1. Filename: 1rondje.jpg
filesize: 9 kb
success: error

Can anyone help me out?

thanks!

Yes it is right.
Also do you mean source like when selecting a file for upload? Or source of uploaded file being displayed along with a title in admin?

You need to chmod you content directory AND all dirs inside it recursively for upload to work, there is usually [x] Recusive in ftp client. Right now only part of them having 777 and thus writable.

What about pictures not being displayed, you upload them too big for you server to resize:

here is actual picture:

Do not upload big pictures i.e. straight from the camera. They are too big anyway.
