SWF Background

11 Aug 2008, 13:50

Hello
1. How can i use a swf background instead of a boring jpg file?
With swf you can have movements on your background...

2. I also wish to have a full screen button without to use the right click...

3. Can i play FLV movies in the gallery? If so, how?

1. Yes, you can use a SWF if you like. Just goto your theme config and set your background.swf instead of the jpg or gif file that is there. Make sure to place your SWF background inside the specific theme folder. Also, you need to make sure you turn off the "repeat" feature ...

2. You can enable fullscreen button in the maincontrols. Goto controls.maincontrols.maincontrols and add the togglefullscreen button. Currently the button does not display in thumbnails mode, but we are going to change that ...

3. FLV will be supported soon, although Imagevue will not be able to create thumbnails from the FLV files, so there will be some generic thumbnail unless you create them manually.

Hello,
could it be, that there are still some probs with background swf ? Using background swf, there is no way for alignment like with jpg`s or gif. Position of swf is always top left.

regards bico

Seems like you are right - Thanks for the observation - I'll look into it.

There may be issues with SWF backgrounds nevertheless because sometimes they don't have width or substance in the first frame.
