Yes, you can disable the SWFAddress module in the main config > useswfaddress = false. Keep in mind you will loose the feature of browser navigation(next/previous) and deep-linking.

Not quite sure about what you mean "looked at". Its there to look at isn't it? Also, just to clear up any issues regarding the fact "stolen" - All images that display in imagevue(or any other online gallery) are cached in the users browser cache. Anyone who knows this, will simply be able to browse through their browser cache and fetch the images they want.

The only way to truly protect yourself against image theft, is to watermark your photos.

Thanks for the help man. Personally I really like it better when its set to false. any other main losses other than browser back and forward like you were talking about. What exactly is "deep-linking" if you will?

If I come to your site and see a picture I really like I cant just copy the address and send it to my friend to hit the same picture, he'll just end up at your home page instead.

It's what jhamrick said, but its also browser navigation. Try clicking around in the gallery, and then try click the back/previous button in your browser. It will go through earlier states in the gallery, just like your browser navigates to earlier webpages. This is a benefit for some visitors who have little experience with the internet, who find comfort in using the browser-buttons to "get them back where they were". If you disable the SWFAddress module, a visitor may for example come from another website, then click a thumbnail in your gallery, then click the "back" button in their browser, and it will in fact go back to the other website.
