Gallery in popup-window. How?

26 Feb 2008, 18:10

I would like my gallery to be in a popup-window. I mean the entire gallery, how would I go about to do this?

I want so that if someone clicks on an image in the gallery, the slideshow module will load, and the window will resize automatically to fit it.

Basically what I want is the popup slideshow module (with the auto-resize), but with the gallery as "start-page" (rather than the first image).

If I put the gallery in a popup-window now, and click on an image, it will open a second popup (with the slideshow) (which obviously will confuse visitors).

That's a little dangerous combo, because you are going to use the javascript window resize to resize the window based on the size of the images in the slideshow. Then how about when the user wants to get backt ot he gallerY/thumbnails? For one, it is not that intuitive to find the method for "going back to thumbnails" if there are no maincontrols, and also, the window will be at the size of the last image displayed.

You could however achieve this by setting by setting in the slideshowimagevueconfig.ini:
usejsresize = true
