backimage and backalign

13 Aug 2007, 06:05

Hi

I am having problems in the gallery config with the 'backalign = BL' -

now this works fine in a slideshow config we have - but in the gallery option the image aligns (if at all!!!) with the top left; and we want bottom left. we have tried a complete fresh install of imagevuex (with only the backalign option changed) and viewed the page on a mac, pc and on three different browsers....

plus - the sample on this page also does not work:

https://www.photo.gallery/imagevue/?back ... col=FFFFFF

and i am sure it used to as thats where we got the idea from!
any help or ideas?

thanks
Craig

I got the same problem overhere, it ´s just NOT working no matter what.
SO FRUSTRATING!

Edit: Seems that the "backalign ="doesn ´t work at all over here. Top left no matter what i write. Is this a common problem? Anyone else got this?

CONSPIRACY THEORY: Maybe the backalign-function is just BS?

EDIT2: I can see a slight difference between TR/TL/M/and so on, i made a frame and it ´s moving maybe 10-20 pixels.

Edit3: Tried to edit the index.php with:

body
{
background-image: url("images/background.jpg");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: center center
}

No sucess :(

Why don't you just embed your imagevue into an HTML page and then just self align that back image of yours with CSS or html, if the imagevue method doesn't work. That to me would be the most obvious solution and the easiest. That should work because the Imagevue album should just be an object on the page while the rest of the page is customizable.

Good Luck Coding.

Coming back in on this –

This element used to work; it still works on the slideshow option – and it did work on the gallery side of thing. What's changed? We went to an older copy and it still does not work!

Is there other people out there that use the backalign in gallery mode and it works?

Right. Can anyone please help with this?
The 'backalign = BL' works great under the slideshow config. And as stated it does not under the gallery config. It used to work; the online demo used to work (see above for the link).

I have now tried to use a swf backimage and a HTML integration embed, css etc. but the config.ini file seems to override that…….

Anyone got a solution to this?

please!
