I'm building a site with imagevue galleries and slideshows, but I would like to have an index.html page which does not contain any imagevue content.
However, on this page I would still like to have the sitemenu to link into the other pages.
Is there any way to do this?

Im afraid the answer is no to this question. The sitemenu was created internally into the Slideshow and Imagevue modules as a feature for the users who not only wanted a gallery, but also the ability to add a few basic links and contact information.
