Thats a good question - As of yet, Imagevue does not support PNG files because we have not integrated such. The main reason being that only since Flash Player 8 may PNG be loaded into SWF. Since many users are still on Player 7, and Imagevue is player 7 compatible, we havent opened for such yet. If we did, you would still face the problem that a large quantity of your vieweres would not be able to view the PNG files.does imagevuex don't support png files?

How about adding a bit of PHP that converts the image to JPG? Let me know if you need some sample code for this. Or also releasing a IVX version in Flash 8...
Well, if you allow website visitors (registered users) to upload images, they will want to upload images in any format they have (as most will not know how to convert it).
(I have already written such a convertor, but image-quality and especially website-speed would be better if Flash handled them natively.)

Most of the users who I have talked to regarding PNG, want to use it because of its superior quality. Allthough filesize is greater, its the best format for displaying images at no quality loss.
If a user doesnt know how to convert images, they will in most cases be stuck with 2000x2000 px JPG images at 1MB or larger. We hope to provide a tool that converts images on- or before upload eventually.
