Kind of, but with some limitations, by using the accompanying Files Gallery, installed alongside your X3 gallery.
https://www.photo.gallery/docs/plugins/files-gallery/

Instructions
Upload your images from your Files Gallery interface, and select watermark options during the upload process. This will add watermarks on the images you have uploaded.
https://www.files.gallery/docs/image-watermarking/

Limitations
Since the watermark is added during upload, the watermark will then also apply on small thumbnail images unfortunately.

How about server-side watermarks?
This is technically possible, but not an option in X3. First of all, it causes re-compression on already-compressed JPG images. Furthermore, it would require a lot of server resources (CPU/RAM) to add watermarks on each and every image. And then there is logistics: We would need to store one original (without watermark) and one watermarked version, and the original will somehow need to be protected. This will require 2x storage space for every image. We can't just add the watermark and then delete the original, because we may need the original to recreate a thumbnail size.

You don't need to install anything. Files Gallery is already installed alongside your X3. Please see docs:
https://www.photo.gallery/docs/plugins/files-gallery/

Just like in the demo:
https://demo.photo.gallery/files/

I can't tell your link unless you give me the link to your X3 ...

Correct. It inherits your X3 control panel login, and presents an alternative interface for better file management for your X3 folders and galleries, as well as some features like watermarking on upload.

It could be setup without login, for public view, but this would only be if you have a specific requirement for such usage. If it was public, you would normally disable file manager features, because obviously you don't want public to be able to mess around with your file system.

im just playing around with this (file manager) and I can see how can I disable features so it can go public..

My questions really are, as I can see why this would also be good for public view (e.g. PDF viewer, doc viewer , videos etc)
1 - how can I disable the login side of it? so it becomes publicly open
2 - how can I hide folders

Keep in mind, if you disable file manager features and disable the login, then you can no longer upload images or create watermarks of course. Optionally, you could create public non-login as default, and then create another admin user with optional login.
https://www.files.gallery/docs/users/

To achieve all this, you may need to spend some time reading the docs for Files Gallery.

First of all, to achieve this, I would instead install a new instance of Files gallery, for example at /myfiles/ or /mygalleries/. No need to mess up the X3-specific instance that uses the X3 login plugin. You would basically start from here:
https://www.files.gallery/docs/install/

Then you would edit config:
https://www.files.gallery/docs/config/

Keep in mind, you should set `root` option to something that starts with `../content` because Files Gallery is only included for free with X3 when pointing within the X3 content. If you want to use Files Gallery for files unrelated to X3, you may need to purchase a license $39, unless you accept seeing the popup nag every time Files Gallery opens.

This is image IPTC meta data contained in the image, added from desktop apps like iPhoto or Lightroom etc. You can't "add" or modify that text from within Files Gallery.

X3 itself supports X3-native captions, but these won't display in Files Gallery, and can only be created in the X3 panel and viewed from the X3 website.
