Depends a bit what you mean "give" ... You mean offer a link? In the main layout? In the popup? Both? I see you have disabled the SHARING menu in the popup, which would have been one place to create a direct link to each image. Another option would be to create a dynamic caption with a link to each image ... What you want to call the link will be up to you, but it would then kinda be "open image in new tab".

Yes it can be done, but you need to plan appropriately how you want the link to appear.

sorry, I should have used deepl for my bad english.

I wanted to mail a direct link to just one image, but realised that only the gallery title appears in the browser adress.

yes, sharing IS a way, I never used it but will now. BUT: it doesn't always work, i.e. not for image no. 56 on the above page. and with others it shows image-names I do not want to show (and do not know how to make these disappear).

your 2nd proposal: I do not understand how to „to create a dynamic caption with a link to each image“. would you please explain how to do that? may be that's closer to what I like. thank you!

btw: it was impossible to log in here with firefox, had to switch to edge.
btw2: „twitter“ doesn't exist anymore ...

You could just right-click any image in the popup, click "copy image address" and then paste into the email. It's very simple.

However, it seems you have assigned "prevent right click", which basically means you want to prevent users from easily accessing images and direct links to images. So how is it supposed to be easy to copy-paste direct links to images (for instance to email) if you are purposely trying to prevent access to direct links?

You can't have it both ways!

I checked, but it seems "sharing" is still disabled. However, it seems pointless to enable this just to copy a direct link, which you could do from right-click instead (by disabling "prevent right click"). As noted, you can't try to protect your images and at the same time try to make it easy to copy a direct link to images.

Yes, but what's it for? Are you going to add a "direct link" with that text directly in the layout? Even if it's only for yourself? This of course will make it pointless to display some copyright text with "prevent right click".

From this, it just seems that you (only you, not your users), simply needs to get direct links from images? In this case, you should use right-click contextmenu, or even do it from the panel.

It's not clear from the above why you want to create dynamic links, and what the links should do, or even why any of your users (except yourself) would have any use of them.

karl, it's not about more than what I wrote: I just want to email a link to a specific image to someone! where is "prevent right click" hidden, I do not find it!

I do not like sharing with these unsocial media at all, but just for now/you I now have enabled it. but with the specified image (n. 56) even that does not work.

Top menu: Settings > Advanced

Scroll down almost all the way and you find this:
Bildschirmfoto 2025-08-08 um 19.35.48.png
Bildschirmfoto 2025-08-08 um 19.35.48.png (34.36 KiB) Viewed 2566 times
If you want to keep the image download blocked, the other solution in the panel Karl mentioned works like this:
- go to the corresponding page in the panel
- go to the "Gallery" tab
- click the image you want to share (so it opens in the pop-up)
- right-click -> copy image link (in my German Firefox it's "Grafikadresse kopieren")
- paste the link in your e-mail

thank you! I will continue without "sharing" and with preventing right click and take an image link from the panel if needed.

Correct! If you just want to copy and share direct links to images, sometimes, for your own usage, then the best solution is to just do this from the control panel. From the initial post, it seemed like you perhaps wanted some a dedicated option for this on the website ...

Thanks @metallissimus
