password Protect

Hi

How do I password protect my website? Would like to have it sucha way that unless one has the password, they are unable to view the website.

You need to change the ".htaccess" file on your webserver. Your host/admin should have some information about this for you.

Hi, Would you be able to guide me? tried going into the admin and also the web hosting but was unable to see the .htaccess

To be honest, my knowledge on the subject is very limited. I think the .htaccess file is often "hidden" from normal FTP. You should be able to access it if your webserver provides a control panel. Your host should also be able to provide basic intructions on changing the file.
