Requirements

21 Mar 2007, 14:53

Hi,

Is there any system requirements needed to view Imagevue, such as Flash. My Gallery was not viewable on another P.C. all it it said was Imagevue Gallery Component but nothing else.

Many thanks...gracust

It's obviously because your PC doesn't have php module installed. Personally, you can't really see your own gallery on your own computer. You have to upload it to a host server that has php installed, then and only then can you see your gallery. Imagevuex isn't just a website where you can view anywhere. Since it contains php files, those files need to be parsed by a server. Just try uploading your album to a server on the internet and you should be fine.

Hi,

Sorry perhaps I did not explain clearly enough, the files were all posted on to my website server and I was viewing it o.k. on my own P.C. but on my sons' laptop I got that error message. Perhaps it was his laptop because I have never had it before.

I just wondered whether you need an add on and the laptop had not got it.

Many thanks...Gracust

Well you haven't specified what error message you received so I'm still spectulating. Obviously you also need maromedia Flash and some flash-object thing that lets you run flash objects in Internet Explorer, something like a Flash player. Maybe your laptop lacks somethign like that currently so...you probably won't be able to play it.

If you see that line of text that says Imagevue Gallery that means the php has been rendered to html so you're all set there.

To answer your original question, yes you do need Flash installed on the computer viewing the gallery.

My guess is that javascript was/is not enabled in your browser. If javascript is not enabled, you will get a line stating "www.photo.gallery imagevue gallery module"
