Well, my site is authorized, but I'm not able to change the setting for it.
You would probably need to authorize your new test location also. If this is done and you still cant edit the mobile footer from admin, please send link and login to your admin.

One Question: Is there a way to display the thumbnails ordered in lines and collumns like in the flash- and html-gallery. I tried different setting with 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 collumns but always the same littel problems that the pictures flow chaotic in thumbnailview becouse of strait and square pictures..
wit 1 collumn the thumbnails display in bad quality becouse they are of 160px size and get upscaled for display on iphone.

any hint to solve the thmbnail view chaos? than I'm completely happy 8)
Good point. I see there are some issues when you dont have symmetric thumbnails. It did not look bad from my perspective though, but we need to fix so that it at least locks a set amount of thumbnails per line.

However, one thing is sure: If you have un-symmetric thumbnails (as per your choice), this will just not look as good as cropped symmetric thumbnails in a layout. That is why per default we have cropped thumbnails. I am not sure why you dont choose to use square thumbnails for example anyway ... Its not like one see the picture when it is in thumbnail mode. Instead, one sees a section of the image, which may lure to click the image and see it in proper aspect.

Also, about the 1 column thumbnail: This is how the gallery works in mobile/iphone to make the page and layout work well. If you set a single thumbnail column, then obviously the thumbnail will scale up and this will not look good unless you have very large thumbnails. How else would it work? Have a small thumbnail the size of a pinhead aligned to the left? Either you need to have several columns, or you would need unrealistically large thumbnails.

There is another option we will be releasing soon: The possibility to simply list full-size images vertically in a single column. So basically no thumbnails page, but instead full images scaled to width.

Check it out here: http://gallery.grimur.net/, you have the credentials to login, sent it via pm.
This only happens in mobile version. Is it because it is flv?
Exactly. Unfortunately, FLV is not supported from iphone/ipad ... and although some android platforms might support FLV, we would need to add a mobile-flv-flash player specifically for android. We strongly recommend that people change from FLV to MP4 now ... MP4 is supported on all platforms in the same package. FLV is limited to flash-only.

Best would be to re-export videos from source directly to mp4. However, there are some online conversion tools for a short-cut:

http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp4

Thanks mjau-mjau, I thought that was the problem. I'm glad it is hidden instead of showing the thumbs.

Personally, I also like this feature and would have wanted it in the current release, but there were some complications. I can almost guarantee it will be in next release in not so long, unless Nick has something else to say about it.

This would be very awesome!
for me its not so good to cut the thumbnails tu squaser, becouse as a fashion & wedding/event photographer you try to built your picture so it looks perfect within the final cut (for me 2:3/3:2 or 1:2. otherwise it would loose the best impression on the viewer, or even worse, when the point to look at is cut off by the cut to fit routine. ok, one can piece by piese sinse the newer releases of imageview individualy make the thumbnail, but, when you have a weddingphotostory of 500+ pictures it would be a lot of unnecessary extrawork to try to let the square thumbnails look good
I use square cut for product packshots only as it is the standard in this business..

maybe Nick would accord with this better option for photographers like me.

thanks in advance!

Excuse my English (thank you google translation)

I just opened a test site ==> http://www.alsapix.com (I upload photos from my old site, this is why the copyright is not right ...)
when you click on a picture to go to the next there is a player that opens!

example: http://www.alsapix.com/#/Galerie/Animaux/JDG_4690.jpg

I tried with Chrome & Firefox

mjau-mjau wrote:We have now released Imagevue X2.8 official in downloads section. This is pretty much the same as X2.8 Beta 9 released a few days ago. Although this is an official release, there will naturally be future minor releases of X2.8, but we feel we have arrived at a point where there are no obvious flaws. It has been a long beta period for this release, mostly because of an entirely new mobile frontend, so we would like to thank all you beta testers who have been patiently along for the ride!

The next days (and weeks), you will see us rolling out a lot of new posts and documentations on the new X2.8 release, related to the new mobile interface and other new features!

In your Imagevue settings, you have image.image.click = lightbox ... If you want it to go to NEXT image on click, you need to set this to "next" instead ... I do find it strange that it opens a player instead of the image, but this is another problem. If you want it to go to next image, you gotta set it to next (which is default).

Seems like there may have been a bug in the code. Please try substituting your file imagevue2.swf with this new one:

Please notify me when you have made the change.

If you mean the apple-touch icon - right now you will have to replace iv-includes/images/imagevueTouch.png, but we will improve this for the next version.
