Re: PowerPack V2.2 For Imagevue X2.8.1

09 Jul 2012, 04:20

Good morning guys!

Still I´m very happy with the new update and it works like a charm!

This morning I realized another little problem, but I don´t know it is a problem since the ne update.

If I go on to my website after clearing the browser cache the power pack doesn't load and there are no buttons at the top on the right side..
After refreshing the website is everything okay!

The problem is, that a new visitor of my website can´t use the power pack features!

please have a look!

greetings mindsuk

if you have updated CSS by installator, then it's probably already exist in your CSS stylesheet (somewhere at the bottom), and you need to only adopt color(size, etc...) for this style.

If not, just add it manually in your theme stylesheet.
voyezvousca wrote:For IE, i have checked to on other computer with vista, so IE9 and it work perfectly. On my computer is Windows 8 pre-release, so with IE10, and dont work, but i think its not rly important for now, its only a pre-release :D
You can ry to change your menu logo to the local image instead of "http://", this may help.
Thx a lot! work perfectly ! :)

I have another suggestion for the news module :)

When i use a link to the news module on my menu, it look at this :
Image

and when i use the icon on upper right for the news module, it look at this :
Image

I found that the first image use the Thumbnailsarea Alpha (theme > mytheme > thumbnails > thumbnails), and on the second image use the parameter of powerpack. I dont know if its possible, but i wanted the same situation of the second image to use parameter and design of the second image.

You think its possible?

edit: oups!! i think that i founded where to change this in parameter of powerpack (theme > mytheme > powerpack > news module) with thumbnails apparence to custom ^^ sorry for my auto-correction lol

I did some research and I can't find anything what may cause this... I have 3 different imagevue test sites with powerpack and this was never happen for me. I think it may be related to the server or connection speed, but I'm not sure...
Could you check for me if this -> extras_module.swf <- file fix anything? (upload it directly to the extras/powerPack/ folder).
I put some delay before the powerPack script starts, just to make sure that all gallery settings are fully loaded.

Exactly!
I have added this because some of you want to have different design for the news module than just normal thumbnails pages and some of you don't - for those is quicker just change only gallery thumbnails settings and news module will adopt these settings automatically...

Also some of you want to have different back opacity for "dynamic news module" and just "normal news module". That's why added also "Standalone Window Opacity" option in your theme settings -> powerPack -> news module, which controls the "dynamic" news module back.

The powerPack guestbook do not have this feature, I'm sorry...
However you may do something other if you want to reply to an comment:
Open your guestbook page (make sure that you have admin rights), click comment to edit it, and add to the comment following text:
Code
--------------------------
<span class='guestbook_adminName'>» Aded by Artur</span>
<span class='guestbook_adminComment'>» This is your reply :) </span>
Save edited comment and it will looks similar to this example:

I've checked on my site and it works just fine...
Perhaps you are logged and remembered in your powerpack installator?
If so, all the news will be displayed for you, even if you turn off them all.
Normal user should see only the news that you have enabled in admin panel.

i tested on 2 computers, with different OS (vista and windows 8, with chrome; IE

I have overwrite the extras_module.swf, still the same result. This result does not exist in imagevuex 2.8 + PowerPack 2.1
After the Upgrade to IV2.8.1+PP2.2.1, this result occurred.
Each just opened the website, the powerpack doesn't load and there are no buttons at the top on the right side..
But click F5 to refresh, This problem does not exist.
