ERROR OF PERMISSIONS AND IN THE ADMIN PAGE ICAN'T CREATE US

02 Apr 2009, 12:00

Ihave a website on a windows host (aruba) and I have uploaded the x2(with FileZilla).
I have a great problem of permissions that causes this message of errors:
"ERRORS
* Can't write to file content/folderdata.xml
* Can't write to file content/folderdata.xml
* Can't write to file content/mp3/folderdata.xml
* Can't write to file content/zcontact/folderdata.xml
Can't write to file content/folderdata.xml

You can disable this notification from admin config, and your gallery will still work,
but it will run much faster if you set permissions!

"

I tried to change the permission with filezilla but without success and I have the same problem in the ADMIN PAGE where I CANNOT create an user!

Who can I help me?

THANKS A LOT,
ROBERTO

P.S.: Aruba told me that it's impossible to change the permissions in windows host (chmod) and I have to change the host from windows to linux...is it possible?

Sorry for the late reply, do you have a link to your gallery? Does this output occur repeatedly?

I have exactly the same problem, also on a Windows server (Hostway). I checked every single file and every single folder in the imagevue2x folder with Cute FTP, and they all had all their permissions properly enabled.

This is from my admin page:

Is there any way to disable the "can't write to file" error messages on the slideshow itself, or will viewers just have to keep dismissing them until a solution is found?

thanks

right click on wwwroot
click properties
select security tab
find iis_Iusrs and give full permission
