Undefined error in menu

03 Mar 2009, 05:01

Hello,

I have a problem with the fotogallery on the website of a customer. When he uploaded new photos, something went wrong (but he wasn't able to explain me what went wrong) and now ià¬I have a stack of "undefined" in the gallery menu. I've tried to search in the forum and gave a try to all the solutions that I found here, but wasn't able to solve the problem. The gallery link is as follows:

http://www.labretagna.it/it/imagevuex/# ... copertina/

I hope that i can have some hint on this problem.

Thank you very much

I also had a problem like this in the past. It was after I manually changed one of the folderdata.xml files incorrectly in a content folder. After deleting the corrupt folderdata.xml the gallery was OK, but I lost the settings of that folder, of course.

Did you just start with the gallery? Or are there many descriptions, textpages, etc, already made? When you just started you can delete/backup the folderdata.xml files.

Or maybe you know in which folder your customer was uploading his photos, and compare the folderdata.xml file in this folder with another one.

There are some errors with the XML file:
http://www.labretagna.it/it/imagevuex/c ... erdata.xml

It would be the "&" character in the line:
Code
<file name="0022_bolognaaprile07186.jpg" title="22 - art. Arabesque" description="bag & belt"/>
Looks like someone has tried to edit that file manually, as adding from admin should encode it properly. Anyway, simply remove that character from the XML file, and it should work fine ...
