Can this picture upset the layout?

13 Nov 2021, 12:11

The 2.0 version is normal,
After updating to 3.0, I found that this picture in my catalog would disrupt the layout.

That's an interesting find, thanks for reporting. It's easy to explain: The list elements in Files app are already anchor links ... When you add your own tags inside IPTC, you end up with nested anchor link tags, which is not allowed in HTML. The browser will therefore compensate by correcting the HTML, but that will of course break the layout.

I'm not quite sure how to deal with this, because Files app items should correctly use tag, and I would like to support HTML in title, but you can't currently include in title as that will break the layout. In next release I will either 1) Strip all html from "title" the layout (but keep for popup), or 2) Replace all tags in title with (but keep for popup).

This issue was resolved in Files 0.4.0 release.

We now replace link tags in image IPTC, so they don't break the tag used by the Files app layout.
