X3 Photo Gallery Support Forums
I assume you are referring to Imagevue X2 here. Preview images used to work, before Facebook changed it's implementation ... Because X2 is a single-page flash-application then technically speaking, it does not have "pages" and therefore FB will not be able to browse a specific page to extract a specific preview-image.zipper wrote:when sharing a gallery there is no images or choice of image, how do you set it up, so when it is shared, that as well as a link you can choose an image (or selection) from the directory, it does this when the homepage is shared but not on sub directories, thanks z
These days, it is not necessary to submit your website to search engines. As long as they are aware of the website, that is sufficient. It can be as much as just adding Google analytics. Actually getting listed in a search is of course another story ...zipper wrote:also how do you submit to search engines,
Imagevue X2 does not use database, and there is no search feature.zipper wrote:and is it possible to have a search function, so that a user could search for something in the hopes it pulls up images out the database
Correct. X2 doesn't have "pages", thus pages can't get indexed. We can't just "make" this happen.zipper wrote:preview for the homepage and website itself works it chooses one of the images and posts it, preview for gallery pages does not, it seems like its just not set up, so in x2 you cant do this?
Not sure who told you this, but sounds like some kinda standard "seo talk". Of course, if X2 had buttons pointing to separate pages, everything would be cool, but the buttons are native to the flash-application.zipper wrote:im being told it would improve the site if the index page had buttons like a site navigation, can you add buttons onto a filemod page or would building an html page as the index page and then linking into the flash pages be possible, the site has pages in that way?
