It is possible to have a streaming video as background?

16 Jan 2014, 14:40

I like this site..

http://goldfrapp.com/photos/

and I would like to have a live background as that one, that I saw is a streaming video not a swf file.

It is possible?

Thanks

I couldn't see any video background in that link ... It is possible in Imagevue, but it would need to be a video in a SWF set as background.

Unfortunately, there is no added functionality to backgrounds ... Imagevue will just load any image file or a SWF. You could create your own SWF file with certain interactivity, but this is not included with Imagevue in any way ...

I've just put a swf file with slideshow images, but it doesn't appear

You can see the slideshow in this location also

thanks

P.S. I used wondershare flash factory to create it

There are 2 reasons why it might not be working, and I am guessing the first:

1) If your slideshow is in actionscript 3.0, it might not work within an actionscript 2.0 environment (Imagevue).

2) Imagevue would normally need to set the width/height of a background image after it is loaded to apply it across the entire screen. In some cases with SWF, the initial width of the element is empty because there is nothing inside until later. In such case, Imagevue cant effectively set the width and height of the element so it might lead to zero-dimensions.
