Cyclic redirect (eternal loop)

Hello!
If I rename
iv-admin to
admin via SSH on server,
then I have cyclic redirect (eternal loop) in Chrome:
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
http://ebru-art.com.ua/admin/index.php
Version 2.8.10.2 | 03. August 2013 | 8.16 MB | ZIP file
but folder with name 2.8.10.

Funny. I made a copy of
iv-admin
to
admin.
Now both links work fine:

and you may login with:
name: nick
pass: qwertyu
but I can't rename the folder in Settings / Gallery Settings / Admin folder:
iv-admin/
I mean not the folder on server but string name in *.xml file - in control pannel.
After renaming - the string is still the same (in control pannel):
iv-admin/

There may be complications by renaming the iv-admin to "admin" from your server (there may be something in htaccess) ... I have seen this before, and recommend you keep a separate non-"admin" name. The reason you cant set the admin in settings, is likely because you actually still have the iv-admin folder.

Normally you just rename iv-admin to admin and it works. It updates settings automatically. Maybe you could try to delete cookies? Not sure what is going on in your case, I can take a look if you provide your FTP password.

It is something very strange. Possibly cookie, possibly comething else.
I have 2 domains on the same server. 2 domains = 2 different folders.
So I moved the gallery into another domain and it works fine both with
admin and iv-admin directory names.
Then copied iv-admin to another admin on first site and the copy admin started to work fine.
Just for fun renamed admin to admin-ok and previous admin-error renamed to admin.
And again error because of consecutive redirect. So I have pritty identical folders:
admin-error
admin-ok
and they behave differently after renaming them to admin.
At the same time on the second site both of them are working fine!
Mystique situation. The site has nothing but imagevue gallery in it.
No .htaccess.
Just want to let you know that the problem really unusual.
