in frame hyperlinks

04 Aug 2013, 03:28

http://www.east-durham.co.uk/newnav.htm

I have my navigation bar on the left..the page has a frame click on node3 or 4 at the bottom left and this should open the gallery I have set on the link but it always opens the start page...I can not get this to open in the right frame...

if I click on node3 or 4 then select open new tab it then opens the page I have set in the link...why wont it open this in the frame.

regards Keith.

When I click this link, it correctly opens the link in the "I1" frame you have set, see screenshot https://d.pr/i/2Njl. If you are opening the link in a new tab, then it will open the link in a new tab and not inside the designated frame ...

Thats because you are using the #SWFAddress hashtag parameter in your links, which only works when you use it in the actual browser URL field. Instead of using the #hashtag, try using a normal parameter ?startpath. For example:

?startpath=/Modern%20Photographs%20of%20Seaham/Buildings/
http://www.east-durham.co.uk/imag/?star ... Buildings/

is there a way to stop this software putting #hashtag in and use ?startpath= so that I can just copy url instead of modifying link

Not sure what the problem is ... you just change the links that you have manually added to your custom html. Use ?startpath=path instead of #/path. You cannot get Imagevue to use ?startpath in URLs when clicking around instead of the #hashtag. Why? Because Imagevue does not use "pages" and does not reload the page after clicking a new item ... It is a dynamic application, and utilizes the #hashtag to simulate depth and location inside the application with javascript.
