Upgrade from imagevue 2.8.1 to 2.8.3 and mobile version

30 Aug 2012, 09:18

Hello Arthur,

I have 2 problems :

1/ Mobile version of imagevue : I have noticed when I enable PowerPack in the PowerPack settings, often I need to tap 2 times on menu items (and I don't know why but the url address in this case is wrong, Imagevue add /&PHPSESSID=2epq.......) to access to the page or the portfolio

When I disabled PowerPack I don't have this problem.

I'm using version 2.8.3 (but it was the same on v2.8.1) and an Ipad and Iphone.

You can check v2.8.3 here http://goo.gl/w67FH

2/ When I upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.3 I have lost the news on site (on the top right side of the screen)

in 2.8.1 I have 5 photos in the news on site folder as you can see here : http://goo.gl/MBnEA

after upgrade, using the imagevue procedure :

in 2.8.3 the news are empty as you see here http://goo.gl/w67FH

I didn't made any change in powerPack, and the file news.xml is still present in the extras/userFiles/ folder.

Can you help ?

Many thanks

Hello.

First of all, Remember to clan browser cache every time you made changes in your gallery. Doesn't matter it's needed or not, just do it . This need to be always your first step after pressing "save" button. You'll be surprised how many problems goes away :)
This was regarding your problem nr.#2

#1.:
The settings for "enable/disable PowerPack" are made only for flash version and have nothing to the mobile (just trust me  ).
This would be possible only if Karl will write script that loads powerpack into the mobile  , but I guess he didn't.

for #2 yes you're true, we always forget to clean the cache

for #1 the problem on the mobile version, OK I need to investigate a little bit more

Thank you for your quick answer
