hi!

after installing 2.8 all thumbnails in the admin tool and on in the flash gallery had the same size. now, when i am uploading new files the thumbnails are larger than the existing thumbnails.

how can i set the new thumbnails to the same size like the old thumbnails have?

Thats right. We changed the default thumbnail size because we simply think they look better now int he new themes, when they are bigger. The new default size is 160x120. I believe your are 120x90 perhaps? You need to go to admin -> settings -> thumbnails.thumbnail.boxwiwidth + boxheight. Set the new width/height parameters here.

Then, you may need to re-create the thumbnails in your folder to make them the new size. This can be done by clicking the "thumbs" button when you are in a folder.

Hi,

I had the same problem the original poster had and solution provided fixed it. Then I decided I would like to use the larger size thumbnails. When I set them to the new larger default size, images in some of the folders get bigger but in other folders they don't. Also, sometimes (but not always) one image in the thumbnail scroller will sort of hang off the bottom right without going into place in its frame.

Any ideas how to deal with these issues?

Its a bit tricky when you decide to resize images ...

* Did you use the re-create ALL thumbnails function?
* Did you empty your browser cache? This is important, or it may load old thumbnails into positions calculated for new sizes.

Please can I see a link to a folder where it is not displaying correctly?

Thanks for your response. I did recreate all the files as you suggest but at this point I have decided to do some bigger changes to how the site works. If I have any problems when done I will post to the appropriate topic.
