Hello,
I am totally new to ImagevuX2 but find it very neet. I am currently using WordPress on my site but is looking for a replacement and Imagevue seems to have what I need. I have downloaded the trial-version and installed it to my webserver, works fine. My plan is to set it up and test it out to make sure it does fulfill all my needs. If it does a license will be bought. But now to my question:

how easy is it to move the Imagevue-files/folders from where I currently run the trial-version to the root o nthe webserver when it is time to go live with the new Imagevue-based site?

A search in the forum only gave me one thread, and that was from back in 2009 so I guess things has been updated since then. Could not either find any in the documentation. If I have missed the information somewhere, please point out the directions, thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, as we were busy with Imagevue 2.8 ;)

Your FTP might support copying files from one place to another, but if not, you would need to download everything and then upload into the new location (root?). You may also need to re-apply a few permissions on some folders, but nothing more.

I believe any ftp client can move folders on the remote server, this is basic function. You can move a folder or files up a level, then rename or move into another folder. It takes only a second since the files are moved remotely without transferring back and forth.
