I am sure this is just my inability to follow instructions but:

I have tried using htaccess to disable suhosin, doesn't correct warning.

I am unable to implement contact form. I have followed config instructions, gone to the text editor, there is no 'contact-form' button to push, the folder will not save, the contact form continues to appear as if not yet configured. WILL NOT SAVE FOLDER when I edit the Contact Form in editor.

I could not delete demo folders, had to delete on server

I can not change images in start folder. I ended up renaming my images the same as demo ones

Is there a way to make the overall height of the page taller?


I know there is documentation on all this, but I seem to follow these instructions with no results.
I am so sorry for all the questions & I WILL keep searching the forum for answers.

Just click on "Insert Contact Form" just above the white space of the page edit area. It needs to be a text page.. and then on the "Save info" button when you feel satisfied with the placement of the contact form. Remember to set an email adress there you want the emails to be received.

Have you tried to save the page were you implement the contact form as a text page?

If you can post a link to a screenshot of the issue it might be helpful.

yes, that's what it was to begin with, a text page, so I just saved it as that, or attempted to but it won't

Figured out part of it!
I have been unable to make any changes or delete any of the original demo folders and text pages, including the contact form text page.
So the 'text' about 'you can't use this until... ' blah blah never went away so I thought it wasn't working.
I couldn't delete that text from that existing contact text page.
But by making a new text page and inserting the contact form, I finally woke up to what I needed to do.
sorry for my slow-mindedness.

I think something might be off with my permissions or something that is keeping me from having control over the suhosin and other non-deleting issues.
But I'm gaining on it.

I am not quite sure what this Suhosin thing does on different servers, but Nick knows this a bit better. Generally speaking, did you set permissions to config- and content- folders? It might also help to create your own folder on the root, instead of perhaps trying to edit one that already existed in the gallery.

Think you are right about having more success creating new that editing old.

I was afraid to do my own "start" folder though because I wasn't sure mine would come on as beautifully as yours.
I've deleted all the other orig folders on the server.
I did set permissions to the content and config.

currently I'm getting this error: so maybe if I just get rid of that folder I can get by.
I will have to read more about what makes that 'start' folder start.. before I try to replace it.

You can just create your own folder "start1", and then go into admin -> settings -> settings.startpath, and choose the new folder start1 as your start folder.
