I think it looks great. Relatively minimalistic, with the orange color to give some contrast on the dark background. Easy to view the main menu, and of course awesome photos presented through large thumbnails. Nice usage of the "client area".

If you replace the background, I think it should still be something subtle and dark, perhaps with a gradient?

I like the startup slideshow with the alternation of text (photographic subjects) and examples...
The menu is clear and has a strong view.

Great photos too!
(some seem to take some time to load, but maybe that's incidental)
