completely different frontpage layout

17 Feb 2012, 06:35

hi,

congratz on this nice photogallery but before i am interested i have(for me) a rather important question about the first page.

suppose you work with projects and the gallery will be used as a portfolio...

i would like to make different projects, each with their own images.

as far as i understand it, each folder made will be a link in the navigation

when a visitor comes by they see an image with eg: blinds

is it possible to list all the projects on the frontpage (not necessary in the navigation) like a gallery? Meaning: 1 thumb/project and when you click that thumb it will bring you to that specified folder with images?

Many thanks feor any clarification.

This is not really a part of Imagevue, as it currently only displays actual content (eg. images and files) as actual thumbails. However, there is a workaround to achieve this, although it is a bit tedious.

Another option though, if you have separate projects, then why not make a cool simplified html splash screen with large preview pics that represent each gallery? That would be the neatest way to do it, and you could link them all to separate galleries or folders, and have a global menu available to interlink them all if required, or hide it ... or simply have them uniquely separate.

Take a look here:
viewtopic.php?p=24729#p24729

and scroll down to see some explanatory screenshots...

You can also take a look at my site (click my logo below).
It starts with a slideshow, but after clicking on a slideshow-image you see my navigating thumbnails.
