Text on Menu background

Hi could someone let me know how to add some text to the menu background in hidden mode what i want to acheive is when i load the page and the menu is hidden i have a blank box top left how can i add text to this box?

Sorry, I am not quite sure what you mean ... What is the "menu background" in "hidden mode"? The menu collapses and expands by default on rollover ... When its collapses, its not there, so it doesnt have any background. And I am not sure what you mean "blank box" ... Sounds like a box with nothing in it?
