Hi, I was wondering is there any change on having themes for the new version of imagevue 2.8?
Also if it would be possible to have like a filter search, like this http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.0.1/doc ... earch.html So when you start typing you can narrow the search for a specific name or keyword. Just a thought. Do you guys have some ideas what will be coming in 2.8? Just to know what one can expect.

Not really, although there will be a new mobile platform and html version which uses its own "theme". The native Imagevue flash themes will be based on the same concept, if changed at all ...

This is cool, but where were you thinking of applying this? It might be helpful in some kinda lists or maybe in the admin, but I don't see this appearing in a subtle frontend.

We are always open to ideas, but the main concept of 2.8 is to create a new modern frontend for smartphones and mobile devices (eg. iphone, ipad, blackberry, android, tablets etc), as well as a generally new html frontend (non-flash). Later, we will take things from there, and obviously there may be need to consider extending the html version further as a competitor to the flash version.

Basically we already use some html5 for the non-flash gallery, and for new stuff, it will generally be based on html5.

A HTML5 version would of the site would be a great idea to get rid of flash completely.
I have stopped using flash on my laptop, and I don't really miss it, except for the occasional video.

The new mobile theme is amazing on small devices. A great step forward. :)

Agree, but its a long and winding road in a consolidated strategy ... A html5 version would also be "different" than a flash version, an interface design that has attracted users since 2004. First we released the mobile version to cover a large hole ...

But yes, 100% agree ...
