A few questions about folder parameters

02 Dec 2011, 15:18

Hi,

I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding folder parameters...

1. I know i cannot disable a background, but can i enable a background?

2. Can i use folder parameters to load a different theme?

3. Can folder parameters be inherited, just like passwords? So, if i have the parameters set in Gallery > Folder 1, they will also be valid in all sub folders, such as Gallery > Folder 1 > Sub Folder 1.

Is there anyway i can use folder parameters to change the overall 'feel' of the site... either with loading an image over everything, or somehow loading a different background image...

Regards,
M

Sorry, I don't understand the question. Background images are always enabled by default ...

Sorry, no. Themes are global, and load once before the gallery loads. They cannot load per folder.

Sorry, no. Folder parameters are folder-specific only, and do not work recursively.

Sorry, I don't understand this question. Folder parameters are for setting folder-specific styles and settings. If you want to change the overall feel, then just edit your theme ... With folder parameters you can change everything that is folder-specific, for example: styles on thumbnails, thumbnails layout, colors on frames, shadows, margins etc. However, you cannot change global things like background images or background color, because this is not related to a folder.
