Hi,

The thumbnail scroller resized and becomes MUCH smaller when there are many images in the gallery, and adds additional effects (picture zoom). Any ideas how to stop this happening?

This is an automatic feature that applies when you have many hundred images in a folder. It is based on thumbnails amount, thumbnails size, and visitors screen size. Thumbnails are downsized so that it is easy to scroll horizontally between them. If you have 100s of thumbnails at original size, then the thumbnailscroller becomes impossible to use ... I think you can already imagine this by trying the thumbnailsscroller in this folder right now, and then imagining it with thumbnails at original size.

As for the effects, it always zooms the image to 100% on mouse hover, regardless of what size they are resized down to ...

You have the link... i emailed it to you, but i have now removed the password protection... If you go to Events > Greek concierge > Hilton

I understand that they scale down for a reason, but i think it looks very messy... Any ideas how the following gallery was able to stopthe thumnails re-sizing when there are many in one folder?

This is an older version of Imagevue. Did you try to navigate that folder with 250+ images, and try to focus mouse on one thumbnail? Not very easy as you must see ... Also, I imagine you are on a large screen ... Did you try on a small screen?

Not sure how it looks so much messier with smaller thumbs. To me, it looks more viewable and compact ... Also, a somewhat necessary step, as to make thumbnails clickable based on this type of interaction.

Thanks for the feedback, i did not know it was an older version.

Well, i know that the client likes minimalism and i know they will not like the zoom effect which appears when you move your mouse over the thumbnails, but if there is nothing i can do, then i suppose there is nothing i can do.

Well, you can always set the zoom on hover to NOT be 100% ...Try 50% or something ...

... and how does it look? As mentioned, to help interactivity, thumbnails are automatically scaled down in "normal" mode. You can change the "hover" mode.

It still resizes... this is what i was asking. It seems that when there are many pictures in the gallery, imagevue ignores the scale on hover... I have set the settings so it does not scale, but it still does... so image vue is ignoring it.

Anyway, it does not matter. If i cant keep the original size of the thumbnail i wanted, this does not make a difference.
