this new product (X3?)..hope its fully backwards compatible..i mean it should be able to retain/import all pics/thumbnails/settings from current imagevue installation. Just stating the obvious.
Thanks.

It will certainly be able to retain pics and folders, but we will need to assemble an upgrade script to convert page/image titles/text. We are moving towards an entirely new platform for the future, so some compromises will be made. You will not be able to retain "settings", because it will be a brand new unique system ...

Comments I don't know ... It is currently part of a 3rd party system "Imagevue Powerpack". Comments in next Imagevue will likely be a native option, but the best option is to add 3rd party Disqus support. Also configuration data? As mentioned above, it will be a completely new system so you cant run anything remotely similar to the same themes as today. Prepare to re-configure, although I hope this will be bliss to do with upcoming version.

Please don't start asking "when?" yet ... We haven't yet announced this anywhere, although I have mentioned I would show an early frontend prototype demo soon. It will take some time to get to a release candidate ...

Not providing the ability to import picture and gallery comments really sucks. I have literally thousands of pictures in hundreds of folders... all commented... describing the adventures shown in the pictures. It is years of work and memories. Can't believe importing comments wouldn't be supported. :(

Sorry, let me get one clear ... there are #titles, #desriptions and there are #comments. Comments normally describe a blog-like system on the web, where random people can add their comments. Imagevue uses titles and description, but does not and never did support comments. How can you import something that never existed?

thanks for the clarification... I was referring to titles, descriptions, etc. It would be great if those will be carried forward. I have no need to "comments".
